U ovom obnovljenom dvostrukom otvorenom potkupolnom turbetu na četiri stuba, u kojem se nalaze dva sarkofaga, sa nišanima i sa natpisima, sahranjen je bogati trgovac Hadži Sinan-aga, koji je umro 1640. godine, te njegova žena Sakina, koja je umrla ranije, 1618/1619. godine. Turbe je vjerovatno podignuto nakon smrti Sinan-age, koji je umro 1639/1640. godine (natpis na nišanu). Mujezinović (1958.) naglašava da o osnivanju same tekije „postoje dvije verzije. Prema jednoj verziji tekiju je sagradio sarajevski trgovac Hadži-Sinan-aga na inicijativu svoga sina Mustafa-paše, silahdara sultan a Murata IV (1623 — 1640), a po naređenju samoga sultana i to kao spomen na osvojenje Bagdada (1638). Po drugoj verziji tekiju je podigao 1640 godine vezir Silahdar Mustafa-paša na ime svoga oca Hadži-Sinan-age. Spomenuti Hadži-Sinan-aga je svakako identičan sa Hadži-Sinan-agom koji je umro u mjesecu ramazanu 1049 (tj. između 26. XII. 1639 — 24. I. 1640.) i koji je zajedno sa svojom ženom Sakinom sahranjen u zasebnom turbetu u velikom groblju uz samu tekiju” (Mujezinović, 1958: 95). S tim u vezi, Čengić također pojašnjava da “nedvojbeno je ovu tekiju podigao veliki vezir silahdar Mustafa-paša osiguravši sredstva, projekat i vodeće graditelje, što je komotno mogao sebi priuštiti s obzirom na svoj institucionalni i materijalni položaj. To je ostvario nakon što mu je otac (hadži Sinan-aga) preminuo tokom ramazana, potkraj 1639. godine. Stoga su objekti kompleksa locirani tako da je tekijska semahana ili mesdžid (lat. orakulum) u paraleli i uz samo turbe njegovih roditelja tj. Hadži Sinan-age i supruge Sakine na Sarač-Alijinom mezaristanu” (Čengić, 2009: 16). Supruga Hadži Sinan-age, Sakina, umrla je 1618/1619. godine, a „po predanju Sakina je ranije bila sahranjena na groblju nad Kovačima, pa je kasnije prenesena u ovo turbe sa mužem“ (Mujezinović, 1974: 233). Natpis na nišanu Sakine, supruge Hadži Sinan-age: „Pokojna Sakina, kći hadži-Muhameda, umrla časnog mjeseca muhareme hiljadu dvadeset i osme godine.“ (19. XII 1618 – 7. Turbe je obrušeno 1883. godine, a na turbetu postoji zapis o obrušavanju odnosno i obnovi turbeta iz 1902. godine: „Hadži Sinan-agino turbe u Sarajevu, obrušeno je prije devetnaest godina usljed velikog snijega. Odbor za uređenje mezaristana odlučio je i ponovo u istom stilu podiže i oživi turbe 1320. (1902/903)“ (Mujezinović: 232).
