Puno je povijesnih zanimljivosti o sv. Ivi i Podmilačju. Preživjeli su mnoge nevolje, nisu uništeni ni u osmanlijskom pohodu 1463., niti u padu Jajca 1528. godine, a ovdašnja stara gotička crkvica nije razrušena niti u XVII. stoljeću za vrijeme Bečkog rata.
