Povodom 2. augusta, Ilindana, noć prije se tradicionalno održavaju igre vatrom, tzv. lilanje. Ova tradicija se pojavljuje širom južnoslavenskih zemalja, tako i u Bosni i Hercegovini. Za lilanje je potrebna lila, koja se u Par selu pravi od trešnjine kore, koja se oguli te omota na drveni štap. Tokom lilanja, napravi se velika vatra pomoću koje svi učesnici, večinom djeca, ali i odrasli, zapale svoje lile te pjevaju: "Lila se lila uoči Ilina."

Cultural tourism is important in order to preserve and appreciate the value of cultural heritage, familiarize
people with it, as well as to establish and improve cooperation in the field of the protection and presentation
of the cultural and natural beauty of an area. Heritage is an active memory, preservation of the process of
“testimony” in a tangible and intangible aspect, that is, the process of remembering, as well as the
possibility of reviving and repeating the cognitive processes, and cultural routes are a tool in the
presentation of the heritage of various countries as part of the common European cultural heritage.
Together, of course, they make a segment in the development of the tourism in the Republic of Srpska, Bosnia
and Herzegovina.
It is by means of the method of deduction, that is, the analysis and specialization of what is general and
already understood to an understanding of particular and individual, that the places and motives, cultural
and historical landscapes/attractions, which we want to preserve and present to the visitors in the best
possible manner through organized thematic cultural routes, will be presented.
One must fight for the authenticity of unquestionable values through a well-thought out and organized
activity, and further on in this work the proposals, possibilities but also barriers will be presented with the
aim of protecting and promoting the cultural and historical, as well as the natural heritage as touristic
potential. The proposal: The National and World Heritage of the Republic of Srpska in the Tourism of
Special Needs and Interest.

Spominjem svetišta sa sadašnjeg područja Bosne i Hercegovine, uz napomenu da i granice tog područja imaju svoju povijest te da ta povijest nije beznačajna za smjer nekih hodočašća i danas. Što vrijedi za svu povijest Bosne i Hercegovine, vrijedi dobrim dijelom i za povijest hodočašća u njoj. Na toj vjetrometini više se radilo nego pisalo, a i od ono malo napisanog uspio se sačuvati samo pokoji ostatak, i to većinom u arhivima izvan tog područja. Neka hodočasnička svetišta doživjela su mnoge povijesne prevrate, neka tek nastaju.. (Oreč, 1984)

Skokovi sa Starog mosta u Mostaru tradicionalno su takmičenje u skokovima u vodu koje se organizira svake godine krajem jula. Tradicija je da mostarski mladići skaču sa Starog mosta u Neretvu. Budući da je rijeka vrlo hladna, ovo je dosta rizičan poduhvat i samo najvještiji i najspremniji skakači odvažit će se na skok. Skokovi datiraju iz vremena gradnje samog mosta, ali prvi skok zabilježen je 1664. Formalno takmičenje ustanovljeno je 1968. i otad se održava svakog ljeta.[1] Skokovi se izvode u 2 kategorije: na noge i na glavu (lasta). U skokovima na noge poželjno je da skakač prilikom ulaska u vodu napravi što manji pljusak (štrâp) dok je u skokovima na glavu obrnuto.
